(I blame it on the sodium loss after 18 miles) Sorry about that, didn't mean to splash a word like that across your blog.

As for stopping by, I've been secretly checking you out. (well, your blog anyway). I've been fascinated with your progress, including how you managed to so far this year beat both the Big C and a Pick-up truck. BTW : also loved your post about your Triathalon and the change in perspective it brought upon stopping at the grocery store on the way home.

Thanks for being an inspiration! And I done got myself 3 more pairs of my good running shoes! :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14630412.post-1165239896707604092006-12-04T08:44:00.001-05:002006-12-04T08:44:00.001-05:00BTW--thanks for stopping by...I never know who is ...BTW--thanks for stopping by...I never know who is out there reading. To an...Lancaster is some beautiful running/cycling.

To answer your question: NO. There are no flat areas in Penbnsylvania. Additionally, I was saying to my daughter that people who live in Pennsylvania can survive just about anywhere.
"Why?" she asked.
I explained about the extremes of temperature here, and how vast those extremes are (single digit winters and 100+ summers...with humidity).

I hear you on the Under Armour. I'll give it a whirl and see how it works. You also wrote:
"Today I did an extended run for my marathon training with only an undershit..."

You might want to check the spelling on that last word (HA!). Unless, of course, you're preparing for that crisis moment of the marathon, where you have to make a decision as to whether it's worth it to stop or not...[Insert shocked face emoticon].FishrCutB8https://www.blogger.com/profile/01796633855881631465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14630412.post-1165177403088904682006-12-03T15:23:00.000-05:002006-12-03T15:23:00.000-05:00Good job on the run. Question : are there any flat areas in Pennsylvania?

I'm in New York and ran in similar weather today. I've found that for the weather getting colder, and me being a warm-bodied person, I've had great luck with running with an Under Armor(sp?) or a Nike full length shirt and depending on the weather, a short or long sleeve shirt over that. Today I did an extended run for my marathon training with only an undershit (skin or whatever they call it) and a long sleeve Nike running shirt (wicking shirt). I left the gloves and ear wrap at home and was a little cold at times, but overall just about perfect.

Besides, all the cold does is motivate me to run faster... :-)

-Tim
(aka FTBM / TT.com - Condorman)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
